CONTEMPORARY SCULPTURE ARTIST
ABOUT
Contemplative sculptures that rekindle a sense of connection and enchantment with nature and the landscape.

ABOUT JEREMY MOULSDALE
Before I became a sculptor, I worked creatively with nature, as Head Gardener of a 200 year old Regency Garden by the sea.
However when I discovered sculpting, I found I could express myself more fully and allow my artistic side to thrive, so sculpting took over and I never looked back. It was a very natural progression for me to start making sculptures for gardens as I had an intimate understanding of how sculptures can enhance the beauty of a garden setting and bring it alive in a new way.

I now live in East Sussex between the South Downs and the sea, working full time as a sculptor.
My work is enjoyed in homes and gardens all over the world and can be seen around the UK in galleries, outdoor sculpture exhibitions and London Art Fairs.
It has been shown in many of the great Gardens of England including RHS Wisley, RHS Rosemoor, Hidcote Manor and Savill Gardens in Windsor Great Park, part of the Crown Estate.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I create contemplative sculptures that re-kindle a sense of connection and enchantment with nature and the landscape.
Living in East Sussex near the sea, I love to walk along the cliffs and beaches, where the earth, sea and sky meet and merge. Where my worries can melt into the vastness of the landscape and I can feel overwhelmed by the majesty of it all.
This is what I explore in my sculptures, my reverence for the mystery, majesty, and wonder of life. My work is a celebration of the connection between nature and spirit, self and landscape.
I sculpt to make my world more whole and connected by listening internally to a soulful language that wants to join things together, to build bridges and form bonds. It is a language with which it becomes possible to talk with the birds, gather stardust and sing to the moon. The focus is not logic, rather the recognition that we exist in a universe of unfolding wonders.
Before I became a full time sculptor I spent many years working as a gardener. My last position was as Head Gardener in a 200 year old garden by the sea. I loved spending so much time outdoors, connected to the natural world with my hands in the earth. It was a very natural progression for me to start creating sculptures for gardens. I’ve now been sculpting for over 25 years and my works are enjoyed in homes and gardens around the world.
