What materials are the sculptures made in?
Most pieces are cast in bronze or bronze resin. Bronze is made using the lost-wax method. It has a rich depth of colour that develops with age, it is heavy, cool to the touch, and will last for generations. Bronze resin (also called cold-cast bronze) mixes bronze powder with resin. It is lighter and less costly than solid bronze, can be displayed outdoors in all seasons, and is straightforward to repair if it is ever knocked. Jeremy also sometimes works in iron resin, which takes a warm rusted-red finish.
What is the difference between bronze and bronze resin?
Both start from the same original sculpture and the same mould. Bronze is cast in solid metal, so it is heavier, more durable and more expensive. Bronze resin is cast more quickly at lower cost, making it a more affordable way to own the same piece. It is lighter and can break more easily if dropped, though repairs are usually simple. Left unwaxed, the surface dulls slightly over the years, but it holds up well outdoors.
Can the sculptures stay outside all year round?
Yes. Both bronze and bronze resin are made to live outdoors through every season. A yearly clean and wax keeps them looking their best, more often for pieces near the coast where salt air is harder on the finish.
What colours (patinas) are available?
The colour comes from the patina rather than the material, so a piece can be finished in green verdigris or the classic brown. Iron resin gives a rusted-red tone. Jeremy is happy to suggest which finish suits a particular setting.
How should a sculpture be looked after?
Clean it about once a year (more often by the sea) using water and a soft brush, with no cleaning chemicals. After washing, dry it with an old towel so it does not streak. For bronze resin pieces, take extra care with the brush handle while buffing, as it is easy to catch the surface. A soft cloth is a safe alternative.
How much do the sculptures cost?

What sizes are available?
Work ranges from smaller pieces suited to a shelf, table or planted border, through to large sculptures designed as a focal point in a garden or open space. Exact dimensions are listed on each sculpture’s own page.

How long does a sculpture take to arrive?
The arrival time varies. If I have one available, I just need to arrange for packing and delivery, so it can be 2-3 weeks. If it needs to be cast, the casting time for bronze resin is around 10-12 weeks. Casting time for bronze 3-6 months
How are delivery and installation handled?
Delivery and installation depends on distance from East Sussex, I mostly deliver and install (at a cost) whenever possible. Otherwise I can send it and give clear instructions for installation.
Can the work be seen in person before buying?
Yes. Jeremy’s sculptures are shown around the UK in galleries, outdoor sculpture gardens and at London art fairs, and have featured at gardens including RHS Wisley, RHS Rosemoor, Hidcote, Leonardslee, Pashley Manor and Savill Garden in Windsor Great Park. Is international shipping available?
International shipping is available, the cost is very dependant on size and destination.
